GROUP BUY: Recaro Pole Position Custom Lower Side Mounts

I know that Cobra do an ultra low mount kit that fits to the standard rail mounting holes, but it's for fixed position bucket seats that are not side mounted, so I'm not sure if you are referring to this?

ClioSpyder I checked today the min / max distances between the centres of the holes.

Here is a screenshot to show this.

The distance between the faces of the brackets is 455mm once fitted to existing rails

Let me know if this will work with your seats.

Hi Jon,

Just been checking the Seats I was interested in fitting........

The Hole to Hole fitting would have been spot-on as that was 290mm but the distance between the Mount Faces is 455mm and the Seats I would like to chuck in are only 370mm - so an 85mm gap that'll be too difficult to fill !?!

Many, many thanks for taking the time to measure.

Hi Jonny, did you have any interest for these kits over on Cliosport? I'm sure there will be a few guys over there who would love these.

Cheers

Didn't get any interest mate, had one fella pm me about them but he hadn't actually bought the seats and was in 2 minds what to do So just yourself and Ali so far, I can get you's 2 sets made for £120 each if that's ok.

PM me and I can send you details for the transfer. Probably a week turnaround.

Thanks,
Jonny

Bit late with my reply as I was away, but I checked if these will fit a Recaro Sportster CS & they are a different fitment altogether.

The CS's are secured underneath, not on the side. See pics ( images are upside down for some reason ) [album]8922[/album]
[album]8923[/album]

That counts me out of his buy, apologies for the delay.

Cheers,

Jim

Thanks for investigating Jim,
I was in the same position as you...

Hi Ali.

We are very busy at work at the minute but I am hoping to have these ready to post around the middle of next week. Will keep you all updated. Sorry for the delay.

Thanks,
Jonny

Just a quick update.

Fabrication will be finished tomorrow. As its a bank holiday here in Northern Ireland tomorrow and Friday it will be Monday before these can be posted.

They will be sent with a 48 hour courier on Monday so Delivery should be expected on Wednesday.

Thanks,
Jonny

Another with Sportster CS's here.

They are far too high for me and I will find a solution.

If I get back to the car for a weekend I will take a look, Can't be too difficult to measure up for a custom bracket and have a mates mates friend fabricate them!

Gutted they are not the same bracket as these seats.

Jima if you find a solution please let me know. :approve:

Hi Johnny,

Seems there's a few of us with CS Sportsters, so I have a question, would you be up for altering or fabricating new brackets for those?, I'd be happy to send you my brackets for reference/alteration.

Let us know & if possible a rough price guide.

Much appreciated.

Jim

Wow, if what Jim is asking is possible I would be first in line Johnny. :approve:

Our Sportster are way too high, I know of a few others on here that would also be intrested.

Fingers crossed [cmilie=iconcheers.gif]

Hi Jim,

The Sportster CS would be a completely different style of bracket. I would really need to see the seat in the car to know what the best way to go about fabricating a new bracket.

The cost of this would be considerably more. The reason I was able to keep the costs down on these rails was I spent a lot of time on them myself as they were originally for myself therefore I was only charging for materials.

I will have a think about it.

Thanks,
Jonny
