Had the vee serviced there today. Great service received, easy booking and comfortable waiting area with all the coffee u could ask for. :approve:

Just to add to this, I went over today to speak to them re: servicing my vee. The whole set up at Gordan Lamb has completely changed over the years. They used to be a specialist that dealt with Renault. I remember my parents buying 2 GT Turbos from them when i was a kid. Gordan Lamb Renault in Chesterfield doesnt exist in the same way it used to. Its not a dealership for Renault at all....Its actually a Nissan and Skoda dealership. There is a single desk at the back of the salesroom with a renault representative. They deal soley with servicing, I mentioned to her that I had been recommended by Matt to have my vee serviced there. It appears Matt didnt quite have a service there, just an oil and filter change. The price quoted for a 7 year service was actually more than what i expected, and she didnt really seem clued up on what it entailed...quote: "we go through a tick sheet with eveything on it"

Im currently looking elsewhere...

Ermm.... They are a Renault dealer still - there is a big Renault sign outside the main entrance which I too k a picture of my car outside. For my annual service I get an oil and filter change and a same in my book stating as such!
Possibly stick to motech mate in future.

They are a service centre mate. they used to sell everything renault now its just skoda and nissan. They just do services for renault, having said that the woman i saw didnt know her arse from elbow and had to tell the 2 employees behind her to stop kissing.... :s

Its a huge shame as that whole area used to be Renault, they had vees and other sports there and really knew their stuff at one point.

Ahh you edited your post...

"possibly stick to motec in future". Isn't really helpful Matt considering the distance I live. I think it's a miscommunication. You said you had your service there which implies that you had a full service. I asked you in private how much your "service" cost and you replied to me. Never once prior did u say it was just an oil and filter change.

Now your saying it was your "annual service" but we know vees official servicing plan is every 2 years not annual. This is why it was confusing. :approve:

Mate, you text me today asking what I had done so I text back and the was the fist time after the pm (which I think you asked me how much I paid - maybe could have asked me what I had done earlier - in heindsight). There are different levels of service for our cars.
I service my vee annually as it doesn't do many miles so I like fresh oil in it. My prerogative I guess like many on here - at no time did I say this was linked to the 'normal' 2 year service plan.

Maybe you should have phoned them before driving up from Nottingham and asked about costs and levels of service they offer.A basic service is oil and filter change plus basic checks. I didn't need the major service. At no time did I mislead you pal. I had mine done, reported on it, paid for it and thats all. I started this thread just to report on the level of service I had received which I thoght was good tbh. They kept me well informed of what was going on, took their time and were knowledgable. Helen behind the desk did have to go check with the mechanics on costs etc but got back to me really quickly and did do some discount.
I think to be honest mate it's a bit harsh blaming me for this...

Matt, I've just looked back through my posts and I'm not sure where I've "blamed you" for anything.

Like I said, miscommunication I think :approve:

Not sure ATM... It's been 2 yrs since the big 5 year one @ motec... But the vee gets pampered all the time, it had a oil change less than 6 weeks ago!
