Hi,
Yep, difference on all counts.
Had red-stuff on fronts only before, but discs were 24,000 miles (and a few track days old) so having new pads on new discs feels good...
Solid top mounts probably make the most difference. Steering is more direct, better weighted and much more feel - but no rubber = more noise and more shock...not great on poor surfaces and pot holes sound dreadful...am going to Brands soon so will see what it feels like on a good surface..
If you have it done, watch the adjustment. I had to have the K&W.3's adjusted up to account for the additional drop of taking out the rubber - 10mm! Looked damn cool very low (that would have been 45mm all-in!), but was catching tyres on the arches under braking and in tight manouvres.
Haven't gone for the carbon bonnet yet, but the exhaust is back on form...
Costs-wise, all in £1380...on top of the 24,000mile service and MOT that Renault Tunbridge Wells did (£447 inc new clutch put in with gearbox that was replaced under warranty at the same time)...Was an expensive December!
Could have been worse though - K-tecs figure for the pads/discs was £397 - Renault dealer wanted £790! And tyres-wise, I went for Toyo T1R's all round instead of the normal Michelins...Renault wanted £1262 for the Michelins, Ktec did Toyo's for £456. No appreciable difference so far in terms of grip (new 4 new - obviously much better than when the Michelins were down to the wear bars!!) and ride appears to have been maintained so job done!
