General chat about Silverstone Classic 2016

30 Vees attending each day please. :approve:

I'll be there Thursday night to set tent up, all day Friday, all day Sunday.

If you haven't seen it already, I have posted up the info you may be looking for in order to make your mind up under the following topic: LINK (check out the 2nd post)

In response to Oil's (OGDC) query, why don't you make a weekend of it? There will be plenty of things to do (check out the above link), and depending on how interested you are in both on and off track events/entertainment, one day will not be enough to cover it all. Besides we find that chilling out in the evening with a drink in hand (weather permitting of course) is quite a nice way to take it all in and plan the next day.

Based on last year, what sort of time do we all need to be there for to give ample time for car arranging?

Also, which day is busier... Saturday or Sunday? Am thinking of coming on a less busy day.

Phil, good news. :approve:

We need to be parked up by 9:00 am, but the earlier you arrive the better it is to avoid queues and traffic that tends to build up at the entrances, and approach roads.

Friday is the quietest day, and most testing/qualifying rounds for races held on Saturday & Sunday take place on this day. Apart from that the format, and what is available, is more or less the same across the entire weekend. Of course in 2015 there was torrential rain on the Friday, but Saturday was sunny, so if you can put in an order for the weather then take your pick as to which day would suit best. ;)

In 2015, Silverstone celebrated the event's 25th Anniversary. As part of the 'Silver Sunday' celebration, they invited owners of cars painted Silver to take part in a parade lap of the F1 circuit, so I suspect Sunday would have been busier than the other two days.

Hi guys I'm after another vehicle pass for Saturday. I've already got 2 adult tickets but only one car pass. How do I go about getting another one? I'm taking the LY and I want my mum to take the LG. Thanks!

Good call - will check and let you know. Trust you made the booking using the Car & Bike Club Discount Code listed on here? Can you PM me your Seetickets Booking Reference that you should have received via email.

UPDATE: The organisers have made a mistake with the display passes they have issued to us. I am sure all of us have received Green 'Zone 16' display passes. These are not correct - we should have received Blue 'Zone 8' passes. These will be posted out to your correspondence address so please keep an eye out for them

Blue 'Zone 8' is a more central location, and is close to the action, restoration live (stage) and shopping village. Please PM me if you have any questions or if you haven't received your replacement display pass by Monday (25th).

What time is everyone planning on arriving? I know that we can't get in after 10am, but should be there early enough to get the cars nicely lined up, but was just wondering what the ideal time is?

Cheers,
Phil.
