orite mate i have the same problem as you the now,
Take the relay off and connect pins 3 and 5, the pump should go on, this will tell you if its the relay or somehthing else,
hope it helps a bit, mins is a pure C**t like

when i figure out which relay it is and i can see what im doin il try that. Cheers mate

going by a the wiring diagram it should be 5 pin relay with only 4 pins being used,

pin1 yellow
pin2 beige
pin3 red
pin4 unused
pin5 white 2 wires

hope that helps!

Right, ive looked and i dont have any relays with that wire combination so im stuck on that front, but does anyone no if you can plumb the fuel pump into a manual switch and just turn it on and off instead of relying on the relay?

right had a look at mine today for you.

not sure which pin is which but..

thick white
yellow
red
green
thick red

went to my car today didnt touch anything and it fired up straight away! (damn car) so i have an intermittent problem somewere but while its running il forget about it.

i done that on my clio, only problem is it will keep blowing the switch because the relay is there to keep the voltages at a certin level. a will devlop in to a bigger problem, like i have the now

ive made a discovery! car stopped again today, no power to the fuel pump again so i started following the power wires from the pump and found this in the driver side rear quarter panel which i think is the actual fuel pump relay. ive tested it and power wont go through it. if anyone can confirm what this is it would be really useful. Are the relays kicking in?

I had this problem 2 weeks ago ..... check your earth to your engine!

I called out an auto electrican and thats all mine was, i even ripped out my cobra imobilser cause i thought it packed up!

Hope this helps!

yeah the relays do kick in but there is not power going to the pump. il check the earth anyway then thats one less thing it can be.
Cheers

mine did exactly the same, no fuel pump kicking in ... relays kick in only when you turn the key to start the car!

Sounds like youve got the same problem i had buddy!
