mwahahahahhahhaa, they are a pain in the ass, will check, I have a spare packet at home..

Funny cos I nearly text you to ask cos I had a feeling we discussed this about 3 year ago. In any case I dont find em too much of a drama, getting the old uns out can be a PITA...otherwise they quite a good idea I think. No press needed which is nice.

I changed my old one to hex heads for a simpler life. Planning to do same to this one.

agree did the same myself on my last car and will do the same on this when I put the new bearings in. Generally the wheels bearings are quite nice on these.

just measured an original and its 32mm long... think I got a lot of 40mm and cut then down to size when I converted.

No you don't!!! Haynes or some other publication has them down as a 'draw in' unit with the bolts provided. 2 turns on each bolt draws the unit in. I've done it with both wheels successfully so make some cadburys rackin outta that lol

So how does the hub carrier fit into the middle of the bearing?

Press fit is it?

I think so.

Kiss my ass southern boy.

Just a thought- when I fitted normal bolts, or tried to, the threads kept going tight. I ended up buying some from Renault to be on the safe side. They were reasonably cheap, and off the shelf too.

M7 x 1.0 is correct so Lee should be fine, I ran a tap through my hubs prior to be on the safe side.. man a LOT of **** came out.. maybe this is why yours went tight.

Im telling you now Dave I have done it my way and with great success too

And I used M7x1.0 hex bolts on mine with no trouble at all......cos I cleaned the threads out.

Daves way or no other way eh lol

Well I didnt clean the threads out lol. Still, the front carrier is press fit. Tellin ya. If its loose enough to pull off then it's f*cked.

aye, front hub; which the wheel bolts screw into is friction fit, pressed in. and the rear carrier is bolted in
