Front strut brace?

Dan

Member
Ok, I know this probably won't do much for the handling, and if I'm honest I just fancy the blinging and the cool looks (well, I think they look cool anyway hehe). Would a normal Clio one fit (Phase 1 Vee here) ? Can anyone recommend a supplier? Has anyone got one on their Vee already...?

Dan

In all honesty, how is anyone going to see it Dan ?

You don't really have an excuse to lift the bonnet like on the japanese cars with bling bling front mounted engines etc.

As with you I wonder what difference one would actually make given how light the front end is and how the front suspension operates.

Would be interested to see one fitted though ...

Martin

Yea I know it wouldn't often get viewed, but I'd know it was there hehe :) As you say though, with the front end been so light maybe it would make a difference?

Dan

They do look good and in most cases are functional but i guess you may also need to think about access to the front boot space :)

A rear strut brace would be more important IMO!

Would be good to get one to fit under the covers somehow. [smilie=doubt.gif]

Just knock up a new cover. Some old cardboard boxes and a tin of P40.

I have a K-Tech stainless 182 front strut bar on mine. Took about 2 hours to make the mods to fit it. And yes, it does make a difference to the handling - for the better!

Any pic's of this fitted?

Pm me an e-mail address and I will send you some pics. If you can get the car to Norfolk, it could be fitted for you. Stainless steel bar and fitting for about £175.00 all in

Pic of the old carbon k-Tec one.....
Now replaced with welded bar...pic soon.
