For those who have a QS or QS OMG

Well iv'e gone and done it, my new QS OMG comes on thursday [smilie=yay.gif] [smilie=yay.gif] smilie=yay.gif]
Ear plugs on order :lol: So how quick is it to fit and does the back bumper need to come off etc etc?Tips and hints welcome

PM me your e-mail address and I will send you a full diagram of where all the torque screws are and these are all colour-coded...... [smilie=bowdown.gif] (what a girlie !!!) Mine was relatively easy to fit (the actual zorst took about 20 minutes) but the torque screws took me nearly 2 hours to get back in and I only have little hands..... :s [smilie=icon_scratch.gif] Halfrauds have a torque screw kit for £29.99 which was ace - if you were up North you could have lent mine....

- expensive
- fitting is costly
- the emissions light will come on
- and you'll fail the MOT.


Fail the MOT?

JamieG has them on and has passed MOT with them on. I will take mine in the summer with them on ( hope it passes now)

I guess it depends on whether the high flow cats are upto the job without the help of the collector box cats. If not you fail the MOT. If they are then its just the emissions light that will come on. Unless you go for the Janspeed with full decat which will definately fail the MOT but must sound AMAZING! :badgrin:

I didnt take the bumper off. it helps if you can get the vee in the air a bit, so either on a lift or run it up some ramps..

And if you have listened to both which one would you have.

Just wondered as I’m ordering one soon and can’t decide weather to have an OMG or not.

Most who went for the omg have not liked it very much except a few so i would stick to the normal version which is only slightley quieter

Took mine off as it makes life far easier and only took about 25 mins at most (each way) , it was no hardship at all.

If it sounds as good as my old porker 911 with cup racing system i'll be a happy man .

I hope you like it. Oh My God is apparently a very appropriate name.

As others have stated some did not like the noise. It will be loud and probably annoy you on long journeys. BUT for a blast it will be MAD!

Miketheman2K IIRC has posted a video of his OMG in action. Do a search.

Peter's got it in ONE..!!! DRIVE - FASTER - MUCH FASTER..!!!! LOL..!!!! I have gone through 200 quids worth or petrol in one week... :s :s :s Partly due to the fact that nearly all of my driving has been on the motorway with the Vee, so had to drive at 82mph, to stop the drone..!!!! :lol::lol: [smilie=evil.gif]

Yes you still get it.Should have bought a K-tec,how many times do i have to tell people,K- tec sounds 99% the same as the Quicksilver with NO drone,looks just as good and is the cheapest box on the market.Also i have found that my car only popped and banged with 97 ron fuel.I bought a Quicksilver box on the group buy,after driving the car for 10 minutes i could have cried at the money i had wasted.

Thought about changing to a K-Tec or to the sport QS. Don't mind a bit of booom but the BOOOOOMMMMM i have now is doing my head in.

All my daily driving is in the BOOOOOOMMMMM zone .

There's no way i can keep it like this, i'll be deaf by christmas

Anyone know the gains of the K-Tec over O.E spec, i know the QS quotes 6bhp.

Whats the fitting like for the k-tec, anyone had any problems with position fitment of tail pipes etc etc....
