Description
Selling my red hatch. Have had it a couple of years now and is in better shape than when I got it from a member on here (Lard).
Since ive had it I have changed engine/gearbox twice. 1st time because the diff blew after 2 weeks of owning it. So in went the engine from my black hatch. Then last winter the bottom end cracked so put in the subframe, engine, gearbox from the blue chamade.
All works fine, used it for 6 months since mot then started using my fiesta to save abit of money for my black hatch in my garage. Also have a little boy now so need to get rid of some of my cars.
So mot till 14th August and no tax
Good bits…
+ Have changed front and rear pads and disks with new handbrake cables. Also various other new parts like track rod ends and bulljoints etc.
+ Both sills have been welded (inner sills still a bit grotty).
+ Bonnet vent USED to leak, all sealed up. Doesnt look pretty underneath but never bothered me.
+ I used it as an everyday car to and from work, pretty reliable (after I patched up the bonnet leak).
+Passed mot with no advisorys
+ Has front leather seats from a megane. Recently had all interior out and cleamned under carpets etc. Im abit obsessive when I start cleaning.
Not so good bits…
- Rear arches need doing, haven't touched them since owning the car.
- I have swapped the front struts to some from a car which has been stood for a long time so unknown condition. Slight blow from exhaust but I will be changing my stainless exhaust back to standard 1 so will investigate further
- Its currently got Ph2 alloys on the back, the front Ph1 alloys have very warn Parada tyres which I intend to keep, so would have.to come to some arrangment regarding what wheels you leave with. I have plenty of Ph1 and 2 alloys around.
- A wheel bolt has snapped in each side, so only 3 bolts in each side. As mentioned above this car has been apart a few times.
Its in no way a nice example of a 19, but has had alot of work to make it reliable enough for me. Will get some pictures up once ive given it a wash. Some of the"bad bits" may get fixed, depends how long it takes to sell.
A link to some work done (2nd engine change: http://www.retro-renault.com/forums/general-chat/19544-r19-go-leakey-leakey.html
Located in Holt, Dorset. Want about £600 for it as it has mot but does need a fair bit of work
