hi there iv just bought a 1989 renault5 gt turbo ,i was wonderin if any1 out there could send me some pictures of the carb set up as my 5 has come with the carb off it an i aint got a clue as 2 where all the pipe work go s ...cheers

ok, i havent got any pictures to hand. they are mostly on the rtoc.org site.
on the carb base, you have two water hoses, one connects to the turbo water feed, the other connects to the inlet manifold. you have a brass connector pointing towards the n/s of the car, this is boost/vac connection below the venturi, originally this is connected to a T piece, one goes to the carb top , the other goes to the turbo wastegate actuator- front port!!!
there is another connector that points to the o/s of the car, this is the boost connection for the accelerator pump. this has multiple T's, as it also connects to the carb top port on the o/s of the car, the incar boost gauge and the fuel pressure regulator boost feed. there is a funny protruding part of the carb that points towards the n/s of the car- this has a small connector on it that points towards the rocker cover...leave it alone or put and open ended pipe onto it. - its a breather / emergency fuel run off, if the internal diaphragm fails. - repeat - do not block it off!

thanks for the reply lad you have it well explained ill have anoter stab at it ,if you come across any pictures ya no where 2 send then many thanks lad :)

its also worth looking in haynes manual. there is a boost circuit diagram- which is alittle confusing, but there is also a water circuit diagram too...
