I’m planning/ preparing on making f7p head+f7r bottom end conversion for my Renault19. I have a F7P engine head which came from an engine that wasn’t been looked after. For example: oil wasn’t changed for ages, mildly leaking head gasket, engine was frequently pushed to rev limit. Eventually engine suffered a catastrophic failure – conrod vent thru cylinder block.
Now when stripping the head I noticed visible scuffmarks in the journals where camshafts rotate (sorry if it’s not clear, language barrier really makes it harder to explain):

Not sure if scuffmarks are that visible in the photos, but scraping with my fingernail I can really feel that surface is uneven. And it’s the same on almost all journals, more or less there is visible scuffmarks. Camshafts are worn in the similar way too
So my question is: what can I do with this head really? Can I polish journals/camshafts or just leave them as they are. If polishing would it affect clearances, will the camshafts start wobbling in the journals?
