Hi everyone, I am new to this forum and I don't know whether I should post my question here or not.
I am currently in the process of restoring a 1993 Renault Clio RT with the E7J engine (SPI). I was wondering whether anything can be done to improve the engine's performance.
I have heard people saying that turbocharging the engine is an option, and also that some head work can be done.
I noticed that when people tried to upgrade these engines, it was quite a long time ago, and was wondering whether new technology has made it possible for further performance upgrades on these engines. Maybe work can be done to the bottom end? Maybe a balanced crankshaft, lightened flywheel, or something else?
Your help and guidance would be highly appreciated. I know that using the F7P lump would be more ideal, however I would really like to stick to retaining the original engine. Thanks
