5 GT Turbo f7 gearbox (cable)

evening all, calling on all technical guru's, i'm on the hunt for a renault cable operated gearbox for a rear engined conversion i'm in the process of, i think it would be easier than using the original f7 megane rod operated box, i've got f7p and f7r flywheels( if there's a difference) to use, would rather stay 5 speed as i think it would use the same mounting points to the subframe but if i can get a 6 speed in i might think about it

All the JB and JC series were rod operated, but to be honest all a rod does is move the shifter in & out and back & forward. You could convert it - seen it done loads of times on the 21 Turbo UN1 in Kitcars.

The first cable shift AFAIK were the ND series in the Megane 225 onwards but they're all six speed and bigger.
