F111 For Sale, 21 Turbo Phase 1 in White

F111, 21 Turbo Phase 1 in White, NOW SOLD

I'm putting F111 up for sale due to another car I really want coming up for sale. If the car sells though I will take F111 off sale until next year.

Its tricky to know where to start other than saying that this really is one of the nicest phase 1's left. There are one or two little cosmetic things that could be done to improve it but all the major stuff is fine.

I've owned her for just over a year and had pretty much trouble free motoring other than a couple of little niggles that 21's have (heater motor resistor pack for example!).

She has tax until the end of February and MOT until the middle of April 2011. There was very little needed to pass the MOT this year, just a handbrake adjustment and a re-weld on the drivers side strut top (can be seen in one of the photo's).

There is no other welding on the car, all the sills and jacking points are in excellent condition and the only other bit of rust is a bubble on the drivers side rear door (see photo)

I have absolutely stacks of service history for the car, loads of old MOT's and bills.

She had an engine re-build at around 105k and even now only has 123k on the clock.

At the same time she also had a Hybrid Turbo fitted (bill for ?628 from Turbodynamics for the Turbo) which has 360 degree thrust bearings. It spools up really nicely from lowish rpm, certainly much better than a standard turbo.

No smoke or anything under acceleration and only uses minimal oil as per any turbocharged engine.

Other mods include a Forge front mount intercooler with Silicone boost pipes, also a Cosworth fuel pressure regulator. I would estimate power to be around the 230bhp mark but thats just a pure estimate. Running 16psi boost (in cabin boost guage)

She also had a paint refresh a few years ago but in places it wasn't done 100% perfectly. Once all polished up though she looks stunning as per the photo's. Most of the pics here were taken in July this year.

All tyres are good as are the wheels. couple of marks on the rims but in very good order. She also comes with a complete set of Phase 2 Alloys and nearly new tyres. Also included are a pair of spare white electric door mirrors.

Current wheels are 16" but I'm not sure of the make. Same style as OZ Superturismo's, currently fitted with very sticky Yokohama's.

Electrics are very good for a 21. The only window that doesn't work is passenger side rear. The passenger front is getting a bit slow due to lack of use so that could do with looking at. Electric tilt and slide sunroof DOES work properly, central locking is fine as are all lights etc. Fan works on all speeds. ABS is working fine too. The fuel gauge LCD occasionally throws a bit of a wobbly but always returns to displaying all digits.

Anyways she is for sale at ?1500.00 which I believe is a fair price for a lovely phase 1 in this condition. I'm not in a major hurry to sell so no silly offers please.

I expect I'll think of other things to add so will edit this post as and when.

Anyways here are some photo's....

As a previous owner of this car i can vouch for the condition & drive - it's pulls & handles really well - it's the phase 1 i sold to buy the impreza for the Alps trip.....

Looks a lot cleaner than it did when i owned it......far play to Mr Wedge......good luck with the sale..!!!

I will be sad to see her go, its a space thing more than anything.

If I did keep her alongside another car then she would have to be parked on the road away from the house where I couldn't keep an eye on it.

Any luck yet....?? I see it's still listed on Pistonheads......not always the easiest cars to sell - maybe F111's telling you something....:pout:

By the way, what's the car you're planning to replace the old girl with...???

I've had a few enquires, two of which seem quite serious. One guy is waiting to sell his Subaru and another chap I spoke to over the weekend seems pretty serious and want to put a deposit down friday then collect at end of month once (hopefully) my new car is sorted.

I'm getting myself a TVR V8S although if the particular examples I'm after sell, then I'll be keeping her until the new year. Once bitten by the TVR bug thats it!!

I would love to keep her but just dont have the space really. She's running very well at the moment and will be treated to new front tyres on sat!!

TVR V8S......from French FWD to English RWD....interesting. Personally i've never been a TVR fan - although they do tend to sound the nuts....:ear: I've been on many a pistonhead hoon & not once have i seen one being driven in a spirited manner..... but with that soundtrack, the leaking hood down on a country B road - who could blame you..!!
Hope the 21 goes to a good home - shame it's not going to a member on the 21TOC....

TVR's are in my blood, I used to work for them years ago and have personally owned 7 so far, 6 of the older wedge shape (hence username) and a newer Griffith. I'd always planned to have another but this is a little earlier than I originally wanted, its just a couple of friends cars which I know to be in good condition are up for grabs.

The chap hopefully calling back on Friday used to have a white phase 2 21 turbo years ago apparantly, comes from Cheltenham area. Anyone that buys it I will make sure they head over to the club.

Still for sale but have found a car that I'm very keen to do a deal on.... F111 now reduced to ?1300 for a (hopefully) quick sale.... Bargain!!

F111 is now sold and due to be picked up in a couple of weekends time. I expect the new owner will be along at some point to say hello..... Tis staying local to me, only just down the road in Portsmouth.

Yeh I would have liked to have kept her, but space immediately available would of meant she would have had to live on the road somewhere away from where I could keep an eye on her.

Her space will now be occupied by an immaculate white TVR 400SE instead. Next job is getting a little Pug 106 to use as a daily driver. This I don't mind being out of sight!!
