Engine Upgrade

Hi All

I have a renault 19 RT I and it has a 1400 engine I was wondering what 16 or 1800 engine will fit it and wether this engine will have to come from a different type of car or can I just buy a renualt 1400 to 1800 recondition engine from a Renualt RT I. I really would appreciate any help on this. Sorry for my ignorange but I am a newbie to all this.

It's been done by a few people here, but it's not a straight swap.
