engine management light??

driving my car today and notice the engine management light come up, the one above the gear change light, i have a mk2 clio aswell. the engine seems to be running fine just wondered if any1 else has had a problem like this and wot was the cause?? thanks its done 18000 miles and its a 54 plate

If it's running fine then that probably rules out the standard "coil gone" answer.

You're not alone in having the light come on recently ... http://www.v6clio.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1835 ... so maybe it's the weather again?

The real answer tho' is to get it into your Renault Dealer and get them to stick a CLIP on the car which will give a simple quick diagnosis.

When I had the light come on on my car it was due to lose connection causing an open circuit to the fuel purge canister solenoid ... so there .

My MPV had the light come on last summer, took it to the dealer to turn it off, in December.

My Vee has it on. I am polluting the world no doubt.
