Egr valve

fitted today after work no change to the car ive got another secondary lambo to fit and a cataclean to put in if not ive booked it into my local garage as im stumped
 
rigth good news is injector three has an intermitant fault on it but bad news is looks like the injectors are like rocking horse shit any help much apprecitaed cheers only number on them is h82064228
 
yeah the actual injector its self fires randomly when it wants to its not a mechanical fault but an electrical one im trying to find a set as they are all the same age and look well past it on the outside anyway there weber iwp but cant get the last 3 digits
 
check the loom. If the coil was damaged then tbh it would work or not really most likely temp dependant.

Dodgy plug/loom is more likely.

Also injectors look past it? How so?

Funny how cars 30 years old have original injectors still working fine...
 
ive ordered 4 new loom plugs as this is the cheapest option they fuction ok just look like shite rusty ect on the metal parts
 
make sure they come with terminals, often the plugs just come as the bodies and the terminals are separate.

typical though a 5 or whatever year olf car with corroded plugs yet a 20 year old 19 will still have ok terminals.

Built to a price not to a standard eh!.
 
yeah come with terminals water proof boots and rubber inserts yeah tell me about it but i may ditch the engine cover as it keeps the heat in way to much
 
rigth just soldered some second hand valver plugs i had on an old loom hasnt made any difference tested when its running and voltage is pulsating as it should ive removed the injectors , put my ohms meter on it and get 16 15.9 15.9 5.4 cleaned all the terminals up and still the same .so i pressume that injector is fecked ?

seems like that injector coil has a short in its insulation.

the ecu will be having a hard time driving that, surprised its not caused a total shut down
 
yeah removed all injectors applied 12v all open fine im suprised the low ohms hasnt blow a driver in the ecu but havent driven it anyway,got a new injector arriving tmrw from renault for the sum of £75 would have liked to do the whole set but will se how it goes with just the one
 
rigth new injector fitted cleared all the codes running as sweet as ever cheers for the all the input chris
