Egr valve

yeah i read your thread very good ive dont the tb ect was quite dirty and had the black cover off and taken the magnet off ect not done the pedal so do i need to do a live data stream record it then see the results

some cars got a new wiring plug and short section of loom stuck in (badly) check if yours has it, the extra resistance could cause a higher reading maybe.

just been out to do the reset and the cars gone into fault again so cant drive it atall managed to limp it home

was driving at about 45-50mph was letting it decelerate on its own got to about 40 mph and on flicks the lights traction one and serv ligth and afterabout another 3 mins the engine management light flashes for about a min got it home scanned it and only one code this time a p0300

have the trims come down?

Random missfire will flag up if the CAT is struggling to cope with whats happening and the secondary O2 sensor sees that.

I get the light on if for example doing 90 for a while them back off and come of a slip road, the light will come on, mien says something like emission threshold exceeded or some other crap

no in that case it was just as you said it was on coastdown.

misfire is caused by plugs, coils or fuel cut.

Is it overboosting?

Does the wastegate move freely on it?

ive had the solenoid off and wired 12v to it with vac and it clicks lovely ive not checked the wastegate actuator yet but car was driving fine before it was stood for 3 days il check the wastegate tmrw and think im going to get the injectors sent off for cleaning

you would be better giving this money to someone who can do the job rather than throwing money at it and hoping.

Check the wastegate is free to move and check all the hoses

I hope your lucky and its a sticky wastegate or something you see easily.

Its still strange it did it on overrun though...

Pulling injectors and getting them cleaned etc i think it money best spent elsewhere.

deffo check the loom and pull the battery and check the ecu connectors, they are usually corroded

right waste gate has resistance but moves freely by hand
removed the battery setup tray ect found a nice mouse nest removed the ecu no corrosion but sprayed them ect a cleaned it up abit put it all back together ideled fine with no dash lights for about 30 secs then up come the codes and you you can hear the change in engine noise
