Hey Guys..
My car is a phase3 91' Quadra wih the lovely £150 hitachi idle regulator:mad:

Now I found out that my ecu is broken.. I can see there have been tryed repairs on it earlyer, and its not working now.

Symptons: It regulates the voltage going thought the wires to the idle regulator, but when you plug in the regulator, that extra tension makes the ecu loose its power.. So it does not send any..

Does anyone have a partslist so I can see what component it is I need to change? And what is the diffrence on the english/european ecu ?

Do anyone have one lying around for sale ? Been using google for 4 hours now without any real luck.

can anyone.. just someone plz do help :hi:

This company may be able to reapir your ecu http://www.the-ecu-doctor.co.uk/
I'm not sure what the cost would be though, there may be a similar company in Sweden you could use.

You could swap to a uk ecu however from the recent findings I think you would have to change your flywheel as well.
I imagine Lee or Jo know what needs changing to get a european ph3 running on a uk ph3 ecu, try sending either of them a PM.
You could also change to a uk ph1/ph2 ecu but I think that there would be more work involved.

Watch Ebay France or try putting a Wanted advert up on one of the french 21 turbo forums for a ph3 ecu

There's also the issue of it being from another part of Europe...as it would appear that Renault in all their wisdom deemed it necessary to make the software different depending on what country the car lived in :fuming:

I mean how many Ph2's in the UK have you seen with a distributor AND a Lambda sensor AND a 2 wire Hitachi ISC valve??? Exatly...you don't!!!!.....but in France,Belgium etc now thats a different story!!!!

Re your problem,do I take it then if you plug in the idle valve the ECU shuts down??? Or does the idle increase/decrease???

Just curious, coz I had a problem with mine, whereas you plugged the ISC valve in and the revs incresed to approx 2500rpm...the problem was an incorrectly set Throttle position sensor.

If you can give me some more details I may be able to steer you in the right direction...not very often for an ECU to fail :wtf:

Cheers
Roj

Hey Roj.
I have shipped it to The ecu doctor.. Since I can see there maybe is a faulty "pin melting point thingy" And a component is burned. And there have been repairs on the print earlyer. (see pic's)

But in the beginning it just reved to 3500rpm when enabled.. but then something happend (me playing with wiring) and nothing happend when enabling, besides power from the print died.
thought my XRD I can see that the TPS is working..

BTW. Anyone know what the latest version of software for the ecu is ?

Hi guys..
I send it to The Ecu doctor, and they tested it, it needed a new print, and some components. Price £180..

And took 10 workdays from the day I threw it with the mail onto it was back on the table.
Really good service ! And has also dramaticly decreased my emision, and my ICV is now working again :)
Thanks for the help !
