E6J into R5

Anyone know whats involved? Not sure on the mount setup on a 5

Can't imagine theres much wiring to do?

I think you might be right.

Just realised that the 5 is injected. Is there a high pressure pump in it somewhere?

I've used E6J engine from R19 (1.4 energy engine with Weber carb), so I had a lot less work with wiring and other electrics.

It doesn't matter which engine do you use.. ..it can be E6J or E7J or even K7M (1.6 8v megane/Senic engine.. ..thats what I'll swap in my car) all this engines will fit in 5 with no problem. You use existing both gearbox mounts, all you need to do is modify front engine mount (you can use front engine mount of C-type engine); you'll need to relocate holes for bottom two bolts on mount and aprox. 30mm spacer for top bolt (this spacer will be between engine mount and engine block). Thats about it...

Than you need water radiator, expansion tank and all water hoses from Clio or R19 (but some of hoses from R19 are to long, so you'll have to cut them).

I've used exhaust donwpipe for Clio 1.4 (with no cat) which alignes perfectly with stock "catback" exhaust.

You can use all engine electrical installation from C-type engine...

Dialogys seems to think theres just one inline fuel pump on the injected campus. Anyone confirm that?

yeah like I said in the pm, inline pump under the car, look on the extra report for more info on this.

remove it and put a pipe in and the cam pump will pump the fuel up.

hmm I took pictures and everythign I thought.

Ahh well, external pump, 2 connectors then it goes into the fuel filter, you'll also have to remove the fuel filter (use the one on the engine after the pump).

I have some 5 engine mounts etc also got a base spec (no tacho) e6j engien loom here.

I have the engine/box/mounts and loom from the lee so i should be ok

Only thing i'm missing from it is the coil. Is the whole coil different or is the vacuum bit seperate?
