door mirror backs

The unofficial way is to get yourself stuck trying to get out of a tight space where a petrol tanker has blocked a forecourt, and then as you're reversing back when you've realized you'll never make it, lightly catch the end of the mirror on something. Back just "pops off" 
. Thankfully the back also just pops back on again.
Net of all this is that with a little bit of gentle persuasion reckon it should just pull off. It's held on with nothing more than plastic lugs with a slight spring action that locate into the black mirror front section.
