diesel tunings? possible?

ello, im fairly new to diesel poweh.
(apart from a multijet fiat).
the engine i want to maybe tune or get the most out of is a 1.9 turdo diesel in a 93 R19.
it seems to pull well so far, its very well serviced on 130k miles, so should be ok to unleash some power if its possible.

Is there any popular things to do or change? or add?
possible to increase turbo boost slightly?

how easy would it be to fit a intercooler?

etc etc
thanks for any ideas!

it should have an intercooler, in front of the passenger wheel behind the headlight and underneath it. Half the fins are probably missing and its probably leaking too.

what pumps fitted? the lucas cav or bosch?

And yes the boost can be upped.

hi, i only seen it in the dark lol will have a look later, is it worth replacing the intercooler then?

im not sure what pump how do i tell?

how do you up the boost?
i will run it around for a while make sure everything is ok 1st, but a little more could be fun!

the cooler is in a vulnerable place so its easily damaged and gets dirty easily as well. So Maybe not so much replace it as remove it, clean it thoroughly straighten any bent fins then make sure its not leaking.

Doing that alone may make a noticeable difference to things.

The turbos probably not even putting out stock boost, check its vacuum pipes etc then wind it up a tad. I advise getting a gauge so you can see how much boost its seeing.

The pumps look different and require different methods of tuning.
