Megane Cup-S v Standard suspension

I've got a 275 cup s megane and I think the road holding would be better with the standard suspension on ordinary roads, am I right? You see, the car I test drove wasn't a Cup-S and taking my Cup-S on the same test road I don't feel as fast, what are your thoughts? Would fitting the Ohlins make it a better daily drive, faster on normal roads which are full of pot holes etc. If the standard rs suspension is better for the road that might be the route I go down rather than change the car.

Its my understanding that the Cup-S has harder suspension than the non cup S as it was an option pack. However, as pointed out the Ohlins were a £2k optional extra.

I would try and find a car with the Ohlins on them and test drive, but I would strongly suspect the adjustable Ohlins would be a delight on the road and adjustable for your track runs

Watching the video makes me think that's the way to go instead of getting rid of the car. In the wet I've no confidence on high speed corners because its so bouncy. I need to brim the tank to make it more compliant. Test driving a model with them is a good idea which I didn't think of. Dur

If I can only get it from Renault I can get 20% off parts. I think. But Isn't the spring rate for the trophy R different to the trophy? So won't be suitable to the heavier Cup-S. Wow that's for the shocky only, the spring is extra. I'll never understand why car companies rip off their customers. Where's the loyalty in taking care of people who buy your stuff.

It will be due to Renault / pylons exclusivity for X Years. Make the products unattainable so owners can not swap the bits out.

I dunno, I've not had a good experience putting after market suspension on my cars in the past. If I can get the ohlins I won't need to tell the insurance its been modified.
For the money that the Ohlins are going to cost it might be worth a chat with the suspension guy that posts on here, Arno

Looks like great kit, out of my price range sadly.

I bought some Cup wheels from a guy in London that had winter tyres on, Michelin Alpin pa4. The road holding compared to the pilot sport cup 2s is night and day. Driving round bends and roundabouts is 10 times more fun than it ever has been. So I don't think its new shockies I need its new tyres. What do you all recommend for road use?
