Clio CS_dave clio 172 20v boosted clio

Hi all my names dave and this is my clio thread. Im mainly on cliosport.net but thought this place is sutable for the clio.

Spec as of now is

Colour is United grey from a mk5 golf gti

Brakes are 197 brembos with hc brembo discs with brembo pads with braided lines and abs removed with dot 5 fluid

Suspension and steering
Vmax front coilovers eibech rear springs with cup dampers. Trophy wish bones and ball joints nd power steering removed

Transmission
Golf 5 speed gearbox fitted with short shift using
a sachs VR6 clucth/lightened flywheel

Ecu is a Mega squirt 2 3.2.1. ECU Mapped by Teamcarr.net Andrew Carr

Engine spec.

1.8 20vt Audi engine BAM
SCAT rods with arp bolts
Elring head gasket
Audi s3 semi forged pistons 20mm pins
Light weight vr6 fly wheel
Acl bottom end bearings
Crank shaft lightly polished for 100% trueness but using std size bearings
Metal water pump
Gates timing belt kit
Agu big port head and inlet manifold
Cable agu throttle body
TD05 18G Turbo from a Subaru Impreza
630cc Siemens injectors
Running a clio 172 coil pack
Solid engine rear mount and vibre tec mounts
Custom inter cooler kit
Custom intake
3 port boost solenoid.

Rolling Road at veuzu came back as she's running 300bhp 320tq so can't complain

Battery moved to the boot with a bmw e36 live wire

Lovely...! I used to own Flan's original Clio Valver VAG 1.8 20v Turbo and it used to go like hell... Never even thought of dropping that engine into a Clio 172... or perhaps the later TFSI...? @Duncan Grier

BTW, is that a picture of your Mrs's knee, or the flocked A-Pillar

Good lumps to get power from with little effort or risk bar rods.

Yep tfsi s3 spec so easy and reliable to get nigh on 400bhp. It would be nice to Quattro the Clio but tbh far easier and cheaper fwd with diff

Steve it may happen one day, or all the Meganne hype might make an interesting Audi conversion but need to focus on the track beastie and of course the small detail of that new rs3 engine into the boot before messing with anything else

Don't worry my main focus is the garage finished and getting the 5 moved in. The track beast can be used just with a weekend of effort but most the hard done so its more a refresh finish a few things on that one

I will be doing nothing else prior, fingers crossed and all that
