I don’t think people pay enough attention to this
fact.
I had magnesium OZs for my Skoda rally car - they were new in 2012 and when I powder coated them in 2015 the pitting and general deterioration of the wheels was shocking once we got the paint off. Ended up dumping 5 wheels that looked fine with the original paint on them.
Find it hard to believe that wheels that are another 10 years older could possibly still be safe to use
