cold start idle issue

the problem is on my brothers 2.0 16v megane coupe. I think it's gona be the ICV or something like that but I'd like a second opinion if you please.

Symptoms:

start the car from cold and the idle sits about 500rpm, tap the throtal and it cuts out quite easy when it's trying to resettle the idle.

there is no stutter or misfire through the rev range, underload or when driven from cold, it simply idles like a bag of crap.

Once the car is warmed up it idles fine and you'd never know there was an issue.

I've checked the vacume hoses and they are fine, no leaks, splits ect.

so ICV? or something else?

Iam no teccy but i would say your best bet would be the Idle control valve and my Espace 2.0 16v was doing the very same,cheers dude.

no mate, I'm fitting them to my brothers car at the weekend. it should sort the problem out. I'll post to let you know what one the problem was with or if it was both of them at fault.
