Well I guess I should start a thread/for sale advert...

As some of you are aware, I recently purchased a Cat D Clio from eBay, looked ok in the pics, just needed a front bumper...

Paid for the car on Thursday afternoon, for delivery to be made on Friday, got a phone call Thursday evening, saying they had the front bumper from the car and that they have fitted it as it wasn't to bad (me thinking yeh right)

However the car was not delivered on Friday as the Delivery Driver got delayed and promised me it would be with me on Tuesday... Sadly I am working today, however I arranged for the car to be delivered to my Parents, around 9am I got a phone call from my dad, saying the car is here, he has driven it and it drives perfectly fine, said its in need of a good clean and said he would send me some pics...

These are the pics I have received...

This is the total damage and what caused the car to be a CAT D write off...

Hardly worth a CAT D, however I am more than happy with the initial pics of the car and look forward to going over it later in the week, I have an MOT booked in Tuesday 17th of May as I am away for a bit and its my first day of work... Once the MOT is done, I will know what I am going to do with the car going forward and if it passes I will be able to apply for the log book and hopefully get in touch with the Previous owner to see about its history.

Had a very quick look over the car today, looks good in the flesh, just over 83k, interior is decent, whoever owned it, looked after it.. The thumb grips in the steering wheel has been replaced, toyo tyres around, brakes and exhaust looks good...

Engine starts perfectly and sounds quiet...

Have got the sabelt steering wheel from renault, some sabelt harnesses, Ricardo's steering wheel buttons, ordered cooksport springs and new cup suspension from renault, brembo HC front discs.. Not sure on the pads as of yet, when I get home from holiday buckets and cage should be ordered... It's all coming along nicely.. Really should get it MOT'd...

DS2500 pads are ok, next step is the Carbon Lorraine RC5. Awesome stopping power but really bad brake dust which embeds itself very quickly into the wheel paint. I used them track only at Blyton but tbh was a bit of a ballache swapping out pads.

A friend of mine is selling his cup shocks and eibach pro springs, covered less than 10k over the last year... £75 later and they have been delivered to my parents... Result. Cooksports will stay in the great age til next year when I order new shocks.. Buying this cheaper kit will allow my funds to be spent elsewhere.. Ideally don't want to spend much more than £2000 including buying the car.. May push abit higher if I find a decent set of wheels and tyres :)
