Citroen XM Turbo parts

Guys,

Bit of a long shot, but I wondered if anyone knows anyone who knows about XM turbo parts.

Basically, I have an XU10J2TE exhaust manifold and a turbo which was rebuilt by turbo technics and then never actually used, so the turbo is basically brand new. The turbo on this car has a unique mounting plate to the manifold, so its not like you can easily put a.n.other turbo on it.

I cannot find anything on eBay and have tried joining the citroen XM club, but my account is still awaiting approval and I cant post on their forums.

Would you guys have any idea how much this would be worth, or know someone who might?

If its worth a pretty penny, I will part with it, if its not, I will keep it.

Thanks

Martin

Completely unrelated, but when I bought my house in 2003 there were a number of Rover P5 body panels stashed in the garage.

I was loathed to scrap them, so contacted the Sec of the online P5 forum offering them for free to any collector. I had zero responses, so the panels were duly shipped to the municipal recycle centre.

In the same vein, aren’t XM pretty unloved and scrap contenders?

Kett, you are probably right. However......... it is a bolt on to the XU5/9 cylinder head, so can turbo up a 205 with it, as that was my intention.

Might get in contact with those guys and see what they say.

Ah, that’s a different matter!

The chap who recently bought Carl Chambers’ Acid Vee is called Tom Kirby. He’s got a few modern classics squirrelled away including a 205 t16. He might be able to point you in the right direction.

Search his name on ‘Renault Clio V6 Owners Group’ on Facebook and try messaging him? He’s very sociable.

Dont wanna talk to him now, the jealousy factor of him owning 1 of my dream cars might be too much to bear :)
