Cheep mk2 V6 if its straight and not clocked !!!

Just found this on piston heads

http://classifieds.pistonheads.com/clas ... ate/840104

if its straight its cheep although not sure about the silver effect on the plastics and here is another random statement following on from the no rust unlike others we now have ..... not clock unlike a few other of these cars !!! Bet he states this then the car has no history !!

Looks to be sitting in a scrapyard also has some writing on the window which suggests this even further.

However if its straight just needs a good clean and plastics sprayed with some black paint.

P'd me off reading that this morning. Clocked my ass!!

To make it worse, its one of the most tired looking ph2s ive seen. Looks a right state and the silver grills look horrific. Its missing all the dzus fasterners from the front and looks very uncared for.

Moneys better spent on a nice phase 1.

I could not decide if it was a scrap yard or a auction ! but not great pics either way although still 10k is a steal if its straight !! I might buy it and have a v and actually use !!

Like someones clocked it ON to 60k , Really!

I think he is trying to imply that it has not been clocked which is why it is showing 60k miles where as other V6s with a much lower mileage have of course been clocked [smilie=icon_aaargh.gif]

Isn't this the car that was spotted on ClioSport recently at Thorpe Park?

I don't think it is particularly cheap given that £10k would buy one of the best Ph1 V6s available...

It's not the Thorpe Park car as I spotted it last week in Chesterfield and still has black grills and blue internal spokes on the wheels.

10k for this car is probably about right due to the mileage and condition.

If it is hpi clear it's got reposession written all over it imo. Which probably means no history, although he must have something to believe it is genuine miles! Why so desperate to sell without prepping it?

Hmmmm....

Can't be many Blue V6s with silver grilles and a V6 no. plate...also looks like it may have sold judging by the most recent post! Best of luck to the new owner. :approve:

I agree with the repossession thought Iain. Possible good buy for someone to fix up. Looks reasonably genuine.

Certainly seems to be the same car, and would explain its current (as per the advert) condition and location. I hope James. the previous owner got a good pay out for it. As a stolen recovered car, I wonder if any unseen damage has occurred.

Well done Tim. Certainly seemed like the Vee had some history the way it was put up for sale.

Only saw this after my earlier post - didn't realise this was a (former) forum car. :(

Seems like the Vee has been sitting around for a while after being stolen in May 2011.....

Thought the silver grilles rung a bell. Good detective work Tim.

From reading a thread on pistonheads it looks like someones brought the car already. Hope they can bring it back to former glory.

Hi guy please don't be agree with regards the advert on pistonheads . I'm am the new owner of that car and it was my wife that put the advert on there and worded it like that and maybe it come across in a bad way, about the (not clocked) part, this was because we have had a look at a few over the last year and to find a few the miles don't add up, so sorry to any that took this the wrong way, but it wasn't meant that way (sorry)

I have bought this car from a fiance company as a repo, and I figured it had been a stolen recovered car over the weekend after searching the web, and finding an articular on pistonheads, from when the car had been stolen, Ive since contacted the finance company to play hell, but they've just said that they had no idea !! about this,, the car has been in storage for over a year and Ive been told there is powder all over the car from the police taking finger prints ( so this backs up the fact its been a stolen recovered car) I bought the car from off those pictures you gut's have seen and haven't seen the car yet. I no some of you will say that's a daft thing to do, but its a risk you take, but at least I can see the car isn't a damaged one, not that that would bother me, soon as I get the car tomorrow Ill try and put some pics up on here if I can figure how to. the reg is the famous V6 tuy which will be going on ebay when I get it, and going back on it first reg plate. All I can say at the mo it looks a nice car from the pic's and it has been stood for a long time and yes the first thing will be to take them grills off and a good clean to see what paint it need'a I'm sure it will need some and bought it thinking it would, and when I have finished with it, it will be mint again, my best friend is a painter and owes me loads of favor's
if you guy want to no anymore about it please just ask, and try not to have such a go at me me, I'm only a normal guy that has had a passion for these since the day they came out, and always said I would get 1 one day, but I would have liked a lot newer, but here you go I could not refuse this when I got told about it with it not been a cat D or smashed up,, my wife advertised it because when I told here I had bought it she hit the roof, saying its way too old and only bloody 2 seat's, anyway guys got to go to work now, but I though Id say hello and make it easier for you guy to no all about this car once again cheers john

So are you selling or keeping?

Good luck either way. Im guessing your mileage suspicions were brought about by melted steering wheels?
