Helmet required to go on track?

YES! as with all track days.
does not have to be to msa standards though, a cheap motorcycle helmet will do, I got one at Lidl a year or so ago (for someone else) for £29 or so, open face will be fine.
Of course if you are thinking of doing any motorsport in the future then buy a proper car one.
They are usually available to hire at some track days, not sure about this one though. i will add it to list of questions.

i was undecided about doing the track day and would have been quite happy to watch from the side lines but the cost of £85 for 2 people to attend is abit much i think tbh,
looks like ill have to dust off the helmets and book for the track to get some extra valve for money
