Car Fest 2013

Just got mine through too. I'll be going early Friday as can't make Thursday night due to wedding anniversary. I did ask Mrs R if 5 years actually meant anything, but I got that stare...

Ice and beer in front luggage compartment. May have to sacrifice underpant space though!

Beer and BBQ Thursday evening?

I could turn the front into big ice bucket like. Even got a drain hole going on. :)

I'll not be there till about 9pm matt so will have probably ate some crap on the way down, but up for some beverages.

Are the camping plots grouped by club?

My pass arrived today as well, really looking forward to this and meeting a few new faces too :approve:

I'll be arriving before 8 o'clock on the saturday [smilie=icon_eek.gif], no doubt you campers will still be sleeping off Friday night's beer at that time ;)

Beer and BBQ sounds like a plan. Just concerned how to get all the kit in the vee. I assume stuff one the engine cover will be ok?

Really looking forward to it.

What time do you wanna get there matt. We need to find a supermarket to stock up on provisions ie a case of beer ;)

Disposable bbqs mate so won't take much room. Couple each should do us for the weekend. Aim to arrive 2ish? Which way are you going up?

It's a 3hr drive for me so I'll aim to be in the area between 1pm and 2pm. Here's my route - LINK. Not sure if your route insects with me.

There a few supermarkets in nearby Knutsford or Northwich.

Hi,

I can intersect you at the A54 Holmes Chapel Road Danny. Just off the m6 motorway junction. Should we aim to meet just there?

Camping and Parking Moved

For all those attending the North Event this weekend, please note that the camping and parking for exhibitors has moved. Here's the email from the organisers this morning:

Dear Car Club Coordinator,

We’re looking forward to seeing you this week at CarFest North, Oulton Park.

Please note the campsite and parking has been moved to a different area. I attach the latest map. If you look to the top right hand corner you will see the car clubs and exhibitor camping area. This is now located to the north EAST of the festival site – you need to turn Right out of GATE A.

Please find attached our layout for the Car Clubs paddock area. Please note the location of your Car Club area and be ready to be marshaled into you space on Thursday / Friday.

Before arrival there is some key info we need you be aware of:
  • • If you are wishing to camp onsite, by now you should have completed and returned the form at the back of the Car Clubs manual.
    • All vehicles, other than the 7 display cars should be parked in our Exhibitor Car Park – located to the North West of the event site.
    • There will be minimal support vehicle parking onsite at CarFest North because the majority of the Car Paddock will be in use by other activities.
    • It will not be possible to park support vehicles adjacent to the cars. The small support vehicle parking area is a short distance from the Paddock.
    • All large support vehicles must be taken off site during the festival and we ask you to make your own arrangements. We have been advised that Beeston Market may be able to accommodate these vehicles which is 5 miles away. Please contact Clive Bason – 01829262120
    • After the event, large support vehicles will not be granted access to site on Sunday 4th Aug. Please arrange for collections on Monday 5th Aug.

They have also provided me with plans for the event and you can download the PDFs here:

Looks like we have a nice little plot near the pits and close to monster trucks! I'm quiet excited now!

Looks like a good plot mate. Wonder if we get a drive round on each day?...

Camping isn't too far away either. Got the TVRs in front of us!

Doing a quick search, this is the biggest supermarket I could find - Tescos, Middlewich CW10 9BL. Shall I meet you there for 2pm?

Looks a great pitch, right next to all the race cars!! :approve:

Have fun guys! Look forward to hearing all about it.
