5 GT Turbo Can not get the horn!

working that is...
Not sure where I'm going wrong.
The pump spins when you press the stalk within the car, however the horn will not sound.
If I connect the pump direct to the battery, the horn sings lovely!
I must be missing something simple, however for the life of me I can not work it out.
Possibly because I'm more simple than the bloody horn.
(Thought I'd say it before someone else!)
Any help would be greatly received.
Many thanks.

Well that rules out the possibility of relays have different ratings. ( which is what I was banking on)
Earth is good, cleaned and tested.
Which only leaves me wondering,
Why on earth did I buy a renault!!!
Jokes aside, thanks for the input.
Appreciated. :)

Power goes through the stalk first. Some require holding for a few seconds for the horn to get going, sounds like it's not getting enough current or sticky, hence working ok direct from the battery. Worth spraying a load of wd40 through the horn inlet pipe

Aei relay : see the large fan under the bonnet ? Bit to the right. There!

The relay for the horn is near the connector of death , near side front near front headlight.

Thanks for your suggestions.
Relays seem to be fine, on both accounts.
It is as though there is a voltage drop when you press the horn via the stalk, as when connected straight to the battery it works fine.
Where would the drop be?
I'm trying to keep everything as standard as pos. However I did consider just a normal horn as apposed to the air horn.

As long as the relay is being triggered by the stalk, which it is, the drop is in the relay circuit.
Might be a naff terminal connector or corrosion on the wire, have you got a circuit tester?

Connect a positive feed ONLY to the horn and test.
Connect the neg side to the battery ONLY and test again.

Which one works and which doesnt?

I sacked off the whole lot, save the stalk and relay trigger wiring, rebuilt the whole lot from scratch with a new compressor and relay and wiring. Cost about a tenner.
