cambelt service

members on here get some discount so you are looking at £1000.00 + vat.

non members @ £1150.00 + vat

that is done by me...not a nvq trainee and with all genuine renault parts.

Yeah I had to replace two of mine not long after I bought it. Since your up the west end get over to Euro car parts. genuine part for 25 quid im sure it was!

Iain - maybe look into getting the clutch changed as well while your at it. I had mine done when I had the cambelt, waterpump, aux belt & other bits done. Mine didn't need a new clutch at all, I figured it was easier just to get one any way while the car was in bits.

Had my work done at Rentech 8) Complete trek for you though :(

Well in it went this morning, quite worried half the techs were out taking pics of it which says to me they dont see one very often! I guess Il find out tomorrow!

Mark Fish Motorsport, Harlow Essex.
Popped in this morning and he will offer a cambelt change on a ph1 for £1k+vat to any forum member (ph11 price TBC). Just quote my name and this forum. Handy for those in the London area as he can drop you of at Epping Central line station.

Does anyone have the cluch changed at the same time ?? I heard it was worth doing as the cluch is only about 150.00 and 20 mins or so to fit when the engine is out ???

Well its back after three days!!

All is good, 888 quid later and the big service is complete! oil+filter, coolant, aux belt, timing belt kit, waterpump all changed.

I kept all the bits taken off and all look in good nik, although the two belts when looked at closer are showing signs of perishing, so to me it was worthwhile. Hopefully it makes the car more desirable too now.

Full Reno service history (4 stamps and reciepts) must make a difference?

I had mine changed at the same time, well worth doing whilst your there.

I had mine cambelt/clutch etc done at SG, highly, highly recommeded! the level of service and knowledge was top notch.

Iain

Why did they have it 3 days????

Would you recommend them to people????

I need mine done but I was going to get Scott to do it but the company i work with are being awkward with the days i get at home so i might need to get it done locally. Really dont want to have it away for 3 days when i'm back home. I want to drive the thing as much as i can!

Alex I am presuming they havn't done one for a while if at all hence taking their time which I didnt mind, I have another car anyway. I would reccomend them now yes. Especially for that price!

P.s they had to replace an engine mount on mine so possibly time was taken wtg for that??

Iain

Thanks for the quick reply. That would be a good option as i could get it done whilst i'm still over here. That way if it is gonna be longer then at least i wont suffer. I could probably work on getting it dropped off or even getting it delivered.

Did they clock up many miles when they were 'roadtesting' it. I know if it was me i wouldn't want to get out it.

Thanks again.

Alex
