I’ve not heard from Renault and the tickets seem to have sold out, so it looks like I’ve missed the boat. I was hoping she’d get her last outing of the year :(

I have a spare if you need one.
I got the invite from Renault but had already booked a space just incase.

Let me know if u want it.

Cheers,

Chris

No-one has ever got back to me about returning my pre-paid ticket so, if anyone wants it give me a shout and I'll mail it over to them.

As per the above, Chris has kindly offered me his spare, but if you get no takers for yours then please let me know as my brother would love to bring his Naples red Clio 16v but he is also currently without ticket :approve:

Now gone.

Due to technical incompetence on my part, my brother missed out on this one, so if anyone knows of any other spares please let me know :ihatpcs:

Thanks,

Dave.

Great to catch up with the v6clio.net old boys today & meet some new faces.

Great turnout considering the weather.
No garage queens here [emoji1303]

Good to meet you at last Chris and yes it was a good event and location. A good selection of RS products old and new. My first visit there but a perfect car enthusiasts meeting place with parking for over 100 cars.
As discussed it would be a handy central location for Club meet/lunch as parking spaces can be booked in advance, so something to consider for the summer.

I agree with all so far. A good turn out of Vees on a gloomy morning, made worthwhile by the usual great company, other vehicles to look at and an atmospheric venue.

Following on from the suggestion of a central meeting location, we could breakfast there and then head over to either the British Motor Museum at Gaydon or Coventry Museum of Transport to make a grand day out. A row of V6s ranged on the Piazza outside the Coventry Museum of Transport (it can be arranged - other Clubs I am in have managed it) would be a good sight and, since it's recent overhaul, the Museum itself is a good visit. Gaydon also accommodates Club visits.

Sounds like a great idea Simon!

Didn’t realise how close it is to Gaydon.

Would make for a good day out, I’m sure there will be some decent roads to drive as an added bonus.

Hi, All,

I've done a little emailing and we could have a group visit to the British Motor Museum at Gaydon with display parking and admission to the museum at £10 per head - standard admission charge is £14.50.

Could I suggest that we wait until the new year (when the 2020 event calendars are out) and work out a mutually convenient date with Caffeine and Machine and the Museum and have ourselves a V6 day out. I'd be happy to liaise with the venues and pull this together if desired.

Thanks Simon that sounds like a great day out. :approve:
I haven't been to the museum for at least 15 years and I hear it was updated back in November 2015.
It closed for a £1.1 million refurbishment, and reopened on 13 February 2016 under the new name of British Motor Museum.

I have been to Gaydon since the 2016 re-opening. Rather like Coventry, it has moved on from a cram of old British cars to a more themed tour through history. There is a Collections Centre building which holds a lot more stock and features a Jaguar archive as well. The cafe is also good.

Simon

As a newish V6 owner it was great to meet everyone and see the cars.
Count me in for a return visit and trip to Gaydon.

Good to see some of the usual faces on Sunday, although I didn't get a chance to talk to everyone properly.

This Caffeine and Machine/Museum trip sounds like a great idea - I've also been since it re-opened and there is a great mix of interesting, old, 'normal' cars and some special stuff.
