Just back and usually I'd wait to do all the pics as I'm goosed but...what a propery AWESOME SUPER, FANTASTIC (you get the idea) weekend I've had. Many Thanks firstly to Danny (cool as life) who without his hard work we wouldn't have been there - Cheers mate and hope you managed to use up everything in the camping pack :) Brilliant cars, lovely people (new faces too), great bands and mostly good weather. Even got to meet Chris Evans who was asking about what our cars were like to own and absolutely loves them! Only downer was that Cakes won overall in the Pies vs Cakes final today! Maybe there weren't many proper Northerners there :) Definitely one for the calendar next year!! :approve: Some of my pics below. Hope you like. Video clips to follow when I've recovered. Off to bed chaps! Night. :approve:

Some great photo's there Matt which capture the event perfectly :approve:. Although I was only there for the Saturday it was a brilliant day, great to meet up with some new faces from the club, our cars looked awesome obviously helped by the fact that most were Illiad ;)

Big thanks must go to Danny for sorting this out for the Club  things ran without any drama's considering the volume of cars there and we left at the end on the Saturday night without any delays at all :approve:

This must have been by far the biggest event the club has attended and our cars must have been photographed more than they ever have been previously [smilie=yay.gif], great publicilty for our Vee's :approve:

A truly enjoyable event 8) I hope those attending Carfest South enjoy it as much as those who attended the Northern one

Nope!!!! Infact I was left a little bit of money recently so I'm thinking more now than ever it's KW time! The Vee has just seen very little use lately as the M135i pretty much trumps it in ever way barring sheer occasion, it's done 5000 miles in 5 months and the Vee has done 2400 in 2 years lol, but I'm definately not selling up.. Everytime I come home and see it in the garage I have that little smile to myself before I shut the door! It's due a cambelt in October, I just hope honeymoon and lakes meet don't clash as we are planning to pop in and book something last minute!!

Fantastic weekend and great photos Matt I don't think I took one of my own over all of the weekend. There was just so much going on! To all the people going to the south car fest no way it'll be as good as the north! Cliospiders v6 is ace I think it's the nicest one I've seen now.

Haha - JK! We thought ravydavy was a Chesney Hawkes lookalike. What a fantastic weekend! Probably the best car event I have been to so far. There is so much to see and it definitely required the full weekend to see it all. For me and my sun burnt nephew Joe, Friday: we walked around the pits and cars, Saturday: watched the displays in the various arenas, Sunday: watched the magnificant 7's go around the circuit.

With good company, new faces, a steady supply of beer (thanks Ash & Kal!), more car eye candy than you can wish for and a fantastic atmosphere, it was truely an awesome weekend.

Probably the coolest thing about the weekend was being an exhibitor. This meant we had early (un-crowded) access to the pits and a chance to wander around the entire venue hours before the gates opened and the crowds flooded in. Seeing Danny (roystinho) chatting to the owner and then all beeming smiles whilst sitting in his green 1968 Lamborghini Miura S would not have been possible to Joe Public. Similarly, Matt moved his car next to the Renault 5 Maxi Turbo (one of the World Rally Championship Magnificant 7) before the gates opened for a cheeky photo.

Our stand was right next to the pits and although there were a couple of huge lorries parked blocking our view, droves of people had to walk past our V6's to get down to the pits so we got a good steady stream of people stopping for a chat and taking photos. Excellent coverage for us.

Anyway here's a few snaps of the weekend. I'll be posting up some videos once I've spliced them altogether.

Oh - one last highlight. I thought the weekend was over, but then we ended up following the '68 Miura S and the LM 2002 home down the M6!! Great to see it driven like that and not on the back of a trailer.

I'm sure we can make next year even better for us. I'm envious of the Car fest South attendees cos I wanna do it all over again!

I got a few sneeky pics of your car on the Saturday Matt.

All the VEE's were looking good!!!

Great event, will be back next year.

Danny, only just seen that post. Great little write up. I love a bit of shmoozing hence getting in the muira, was angling for a ride out on the final day, but they were only doing one trip out.

Just another thanks for organising it. Next year for definite, just need our kid to move his wedding if its the same weekend
