Broken Cat?

Hi guys,

got this strange noise when the car is cold, especially in the morning at around 2500 to 3200 rpm.
After 5-10km the noise is gone...might be the catalytic converter.

What do you think?

Sorry i wanted to post this in Problems, basic technical questions

Heatshield might be an option as the noise goes away as soon as stuff gets warm in the back.
I hope it's not one of the cats as i have absolutely no idea where i should get one :violin:

I had a rattling from my exhaust plus car failed MOT on emissions

Was found to be a cracked rear cat pipe - common fault apparently but easily fixed with a little welding

Heat shields do rust away have heard as well, mine was fine just the cat pipe

Hope this helps
