Megane Bowen's RS250

what a cracking car..looks great..happy with the b14's??
i have them on mine and cant fault them..quite comfy on the road but will stiffen up on a track..glad it went all well at RST..

Home after and epic drive back. Car feels/drives completely different. I didn't think the relatively small increase in bhp would make a difference but the new map is so smooth and I'm really impressed.

Great saving in the group buy too, thanks for organising.

No they don't :0).
Rest of the car looks sweet though, good colour :0)

Have to agree all looks great but the white on tyres not my thing. But if you are happy sod what us old gits say

Track day looked terrible weather and my idea of hell

Good results and not all about peak power

Thanks for the reply mate. Love the B14's had the car corner weighted and balance etc feels fantastic. Especially as my old OEM shocks were well shot.

Tyre pen was done mainly as a joke for the track day and partly to break up the black wheels and tyres. Sorry if it's not to your taste though.

Where did you get the tyre pen from ? I really quite like it .

What about removing it ? If I didnt like it ? ( Can you see where this is going ?! )

Oh and in other news took the Megane out for a spin today and the new map is smoother and pulls through the rev range but it's also savage, it's a real animal now. Really happy.

Shit luck in the beginning with your first cars, but delighted that the Renault came good for you!

I'm a huge fan of fast Renaults in BLUE, so your car ticks many many boxes for me :bf:

Slow updates with the Megane, the fact photobucket royally screwed us and the current sale of our house and the build of our new place has taken up time and money.

I recently listed the Megane for sale, not due to costs of the new house etc. My current thoughts on a replacement would either be an S3, M3 or a Cayman S but thinking it through and the money I have put in to the Megane for someone else to enjoy is putting me off. So unless I receive my full asking price, I won't sell it.

Recent issues. Well I had a clicking clutch pedal for a good few months, it slowly developed in to a loud click on bite and almost felt like the pedal could at any moment snap. I had my wife sit in the car and press the pedal, whilst I stuck my head under the bonnet. I could hear it more clearly in the engine bay than the cabin. A little more digging and I could see a wet patch on the ARB, then I spotted this disc like shape "thing" on the pipe that lead to the clutch pedal. The disc thing, (turns out to be a reservoir for clutch fluid) is leaking brake/clutch fluid. I phoned up RPD and I had a new part on route to me the very next day. Fitting the part was easy, although I lost a bit more clutch fluid. And wahllah, fixed no more clicking clutch pedal!

I had an MOT advisory for a rear hub, so as these are built in to the rear discs, new rear discs and pads were purchased and fitted.

Then whilst browsing ebay, I spotted an ad for "Megane RS250 front grooved brake DISC". I thought who buys just one disc. I then noticed the seller was Bristol Lexus. I dropped a message asking if the ad was for a pair of discs or just one, the seller replied the ad was for a pair. *CLICKS BUY IT NOW* £63 for a pair of OEM grooved brake discs posted.
