Hey Guys,
Another completely random question.
Does anyone know what the connector is called for a car running a Bosch L-Jetronic that connects the loom to the ECU? I am basically looking for the part inside the ECU, plug to PCB, so to speak, not sure if something like that exists, without bastardising an ECU and de-soldering one.
What I am trying to achieve is maintaining the original loom in the car, but connecting to a megasquirt or Emerald ECU. However, its not a simple as that, I want to utilize the original loom for the most part, so that the car can be put back to the original configuration fairly easily, hence needing the connector. The idea is to make an "interface box" that will allow me to hook in a coil pack, which will replace the dizzy, a cold start valve to replace the supplementary air device, a flywheel sensor, a MAF instead of an AFM and finally a lambda sensor using separate cables which can be stripped out to return the car back to normal.
I know old skool Porschi, BMW and a smattering of other vehicles ran the L-Jetronic, so wondered if anyone has done anything like this, or seen it on a forum somewhere that might give me a bit of direction.
Thanks
Martin
