sorry Hannu....... I need to pay more attention. Sorry for the big let down. Judging from the register, this was listed on here in November 2007 for £3k. It seems to be in the same location as before......
its because its had a gt turbo carb conversion and the carb sits too high in the engine bay for the bonnet to shut properly. hence they have made a bulge to accomodate the extra height....

i think you could machine some of the inlet manifold off, before you weld the adapter plate onto it.
or sit the bonnet higher so it it 'allows for hot engine bay air to escape' from the back of it, and also allow the carb top clearance.
im not talking to you  i reduced the inlet manifold height by 25-30 mm on mine, if you can weld its pretty easy job just had to tap a new vac connection for aei because you have to loose the originals. the left hook cars are the best candidate as you have no steering rack in the way and if you can find an early atmo gordini manifold which is 90 deg from block rather than swept up and is also water heated it fits straight on and the carb sits over nearer to offside wing so avoids clashing with the alternater ....i have a early 90 degree manifold sitting in my shed for those waiting to convert there uk resident left hook dinis to intercooler
He says he will tade it in for scrappage........ but you need an MOT and tax for that??? and he has got more cars than me ..... :? :?
