Block F7R + Head F7P

Hi there,
I made my plans to bring my r19 16v to UK, so I arranged some repairs for oil burning engine. It turns out that engine block is badly worn and needs changing. I'm considering buying F7R 710 engine and putting it to my R19. So does anyone successfully merged head from F7P and block from F7R? What technical issues have you faced? What do I have to be aware of? Is it possible at all to do that and run it with out any problem?
Regards
Justas
P.S. Sorry for my bad english.

its like Neal says, its everything plug and play, in fact its just what I have f7r block and f7p head, but on turbo spec.
if youre gonna use the 1.8 crankshaft your car will be the same, but if you use the f7r block with all of its internals i dont realy konw whats gonna be the results in terms of performance, because on n/a engines the bigger the better (bigger ducts, bigger valves...) and with the 2.0 crankshaft together with the small valves, you will sufer from poor filing of the cilinders specially on higher rpms. but work!!! it will work!!!

can i use my old ECU, or do i need change to 2,0 clio williams? is it possible to reprogram it to work with that mixture?

you can mix what ever you want from an engine to the other. it will work in the same!
as the f7r and f7p use the same injectors you can try find someone that change the chip of the f7p ecu to upgrade injection times, or use the williams ecu.

No it won't, it'll run a compression ratio somewhere around 7.2:1!

The F7R 710 has smaller "ducts" than the 1.8. The F7P head on the F7R bottom end would be 100% fine

yeah, because I wondering now if i put old ECU with f7r block and f7p head, what output do i get, is it 100kW and not less. Have to count every expenses i have, if not i have to dump it.

a 2 litre f7r bottom end with a 1.8 head on it will be fine.

a 2l f7r bottom end with an f7p crankshaft will not.

The f7p crank, rods and pistons will do the exact same engine as he has now.
Ofcourse you cannot mix crank and pistons from the two engines as the pistons have diferent axle ofsets. It's realy the only thing that cannot be mixed in this two engines.
About the megane head, I forgot the detail of the smaller ducts oposite to the Clio!

My first block was a f7p and was bored to the wossner Williams piston, I only had to change the block because the crank wouldn't turn!
but there are available at least 3 or 4 diferent diâmeters for both pistons!

Thanks guys for quick response, I will make some arrangements regarding this mixture and wait and see the end result. See you then on UK's roads ;)

try go to the wossner site, and choose pistons for any french model car to see what it says. you'l be surprised! I was!
