AUX Upgrade

on mine i go to the setting for what used to be the multi changer, that now what the head unit thinks is connected - easy as you like on mine

Hey Ian,

Thanks for your response. By setting do you mean a button on the single DIN stereo? If so, can you please post a picture of what you pressed and where you connected the AUX wire to at the back of the stereo unit? Thank you!

Hey

Ive not visited here for a while...

anyway what i do is press the source button (the one to go from single disc to radio to multi changer) on the std fitted unit. the aux connector is plugged in the back of the unit where the cd multi changed used to be, the head unit/stereo doesn't know that the thing it has plugged in is not the multi change so display 01-01 (as if it playing track one on disc one) The new aux box plugs into the head phone socket on the phone. i just select the music icon on my iPhone and turn the phone volume up. the car volume can be used but you can't select or skip tracks remotely. i have the aux wire coming out from the back on the centre console and lave it hanging by the ash tray when the phone is not plugged in ( i have the same set up in mrs H Audi A3)

hope this helps

Ian
