Give the meg a once over with Poorboys black hole then collinite wax to finish before Trax last sunday. It then promptly pissed down half of the day typically. A few pics of it cleaned up! Mot tomorrow.
Took it for mot this morning 9am sharp. Straight through as expected - looks super clean underneath for a 12 year old car. 2400 miles since last mot was noted - mot tester told me to get it used more
Megane not been used much recently, had the odd blast out and a quick wash to get the shite off. Big push to get the r26 box in this year before summer
Small update - Battery went flat due to lack of use - nearly had a crisis on our hands as the car is keyless and the passenger side door was tight against the garage wall - luckily it just had the power to unlock - charged battery and has been fine with a run out every couple of weeks. No other issues to report
A few parts in stock for next weekends gearbox swap to r26 with lsd. New outer cv for passenger side shaft as thread is damaged, new genuine renault concentric slave cylinder, oil & filter, brake fluid flush etc.
A few casualties along the way. Xenon level sensor pins snapped due to corrosion, drivers side inner cv pissing grease out of the splines, pipercross airfilter fell apart & lower dogbone mount shot
New passenger side outer cv fitted - easy job one whack with the copper hammer knocked the old joint off, new joint knocked on in one hit
Blanking plate fitted to turbo, lost a bit of skin doing that
Its almost buttoned up again just passenger side shaft to fit & waiting for new airfilter etc. To be continued
