Megane Artic blue 225

Todays job was fitting new tre & droplink to passenger side to get rid of a slight suspension knock. Used quality oem trw parts from misterauto. Fitted the new rear discs and pads too, Hour and a half all done. Finished off with tracking done on the new hunter alignment setup at my local garage (mates rates of course). Just been installed £70k this week. Massive improvement once again as it was pulling to left slightly. The meganes seem very sensitive to alignment.

Hi Brigsy, is there anywhere a how to do of the bearing change you have done ?
Two Renault dealers told me they can't swap only the bearing which sounds little bit weird to me but as far as I can see you've done exactly this...

EDIT found the guide :)

All fine matey everything has had the bar treatment. The tracking only went off after it had been in a million pieces doing the hub bearings - thats when i found the worn tre on the left hand side. to be honest it was hardly pulling to the left at all im pretty fussy.

Ideally you should have the tracking done every time the suspension has had work but in reality most people only do it occasionally as i do due to the price. To be honest balljoints make little difference when worn just usually noisy. Its sweet as a nut now until the next thing needs changing :D no knocking or anything super tight like new.

Well yesterday we had a minor disaster...had the Megane parked across the driveway for a whole 10 mins, a huge gust of wind ripped the 6ft gate off its hinges back over right into the drivers door leaving a lovely crease all the way down it!! I'm not ashamed to say I actually cried...image.webp
Can't see it too clearly in the pics but trust me, it stood out like a sore thumb!

So after I got a grip and manned up I messaged a guy who does paintless dent removed and he said he could come round today after work to sort it...

And the end result...looks like brand new! Gotta say I was nervous when I seen the tools and him banging what looked like a hammer and chisel on my door!!
