Anyone had any GOOD experience with Aftermarket DRL (Daytime Running Light) kits?

As title suggests, I was wondering if anyone knew of a good aftermarket DRL Kit?

We've all seen the sh1te ones stuck to various Ford Focus headlights, that are as bright as a candle, but I was wondering if there were any good kits out there?

Was wondering to see if I could get a nice install into an original R11 headlight, or a bumper grille?

Tbh Steve yet to see an aftermarket addition to older car work, especially classics. I may however just not have seen any good ones.....

What about some magic wiring to have the fogs on permenatly ign live with nothing else on to act as a retro drl. Then off woth side / main etc and still funtion as normal fogs

You could also convert the fogs to led / hid option to reduce heat / drain on power

Yes DG, that's also an option. Just found these though, and going to nip into garage for a measure up to see if they could replace fog lights?

Yeah, see your point, but i've kinda got used to cars having them now, so ones that don't kinda look a little out of place now I think? I was thinking to try & do it with a bit of sympathy if indeed I did it?

If you must have running lights set it up like the american alliance. Modern tat is a sure way to wreck a classic. No need to modify it to look like every other car on the road imo.

I don't know WHAT possessed me when I did it but I bought a pair of those just out of curiosity, and because i'm an eBay addict.

Seriously, they look shit in the pictures, but when you see them in person they are 4,621 times shitter.

Do yourself a favour and leave out the wanky DRLs lol
