Anybody Selling A V6

Who cares what they are worth? Bought mine and its now a keeper. I couldn't care less and neither should any other die-hard owner.

Amy, if you see one you like and are happy handing over what ever money you have to get it, DO IT. You will not regret it. Forget that X says "this is worth this ...", Z saying "its not worth that" and Y stating ""the market says this..." If you were buying a Mondeo then fair enough.

To be fair though not everyone is in for the long haul & may look on 12k as an asset in say 2 years when they may want to sell- still hoping that the 12k investment is still worth around 10k....

going to go look at the black v6 with honda recaro's week on saturday thats advertised on PH as he will also take the fiesta off me but keep coming forward with any other v6's you hear about as is much appreciated.

People think i am mad been a girl wanting a v6 but Wanted a V6 since i got my first car which was a 1.2 clio extreme then i got my clio cup sport 172 cup which i loved and now i have a good build up of no claims and have a good job think why the hell not get the car i always wanted nobody around my area owns one so i will be completely individual and am a real petrol head at heart. Think if i dont get a v6 then will regret no doing so my whole life.
Really want a phase 2 v6 so gonna hold out to get one of those and fingers crossed i wont have to wait very long!

There are a couple of female VEE owners on here-

You will find you become very 'popular' with the car- especially with the other sex-

be prepared for plenty of attention wherever you go, not just from men- pretty much every looks & stares at these cars- its funny when they see see you put your shopping in the front!

Good luck on Martins car- Martin looked after it- we were parked up next to each other at FCS & WSR in 2005-

& yes thats how long most of us have been on the forums & kicking about these cars-

Amy, if you find one you like and have the cash, get over to look at it, do your research about it's history on here and from previous owners and if that comes back good buy it.
Dont let anyone tell you what the right price is for you to buy any particular car.
Life is too short and these cars arent exactly common, so if you find the one for you don't let it go because of opinions of others on what they are or arent worth.

Well now that I own #314, the Liquid Yellow V6 255 referred to above, I will comment - I have so far kept away from this mindless debate about what a Vee is worth, to whom, and at what price, but felt that I had to say something!

Every car has a potential buyer, who will pay the price that they feel is fair. This is less so in the consumer market, which unfortunately is where the Vee is right now (as evident fom the responses to this thread). As I have said before it will take a fair few years before a Vee (Phase 1 or 2) will be recognised as a proper (modern) classic. As such, for now we will have to endure the consumer market (as evident in this thread), and dealers who support and operate in this market, before the Vee's true potential is reached. However, when collectors move in it will be a different story!

As such, my advice for anybody aspiring to own a Vee over the medium to long term (i.e. 5 to 10+ years) is to buy the best they can find (meaning a good straight car that has been looked after), at a price they are comfortable with, and then hold on to it for the long term. The recessionary period we are in now does not help, but it certainly hasn't affected the classic car market, which is doing quite well.

Thats a great sale if so ( for the seller)-

Whether it be the OP buying it- or someone else- maybe from France, as quite a few are going abroad now as its more expensive over there-

either way one of the fastest V6 sales on PH for a while- right place at the right time- good stuff
& does go show I have no bearing on a cars sale price

I originally sold the car to Steve G with no hassle whatsoever - I didn't even advertise it, we agreed a price by PM, he sent me the money and came and picked the car up. I priced it at what I wanted and he has done the same - it was a great car with genuine history and traceable ownership so one of the 'better' cars I would say for those who know what they are looking for - maybe the ad didn't do it justice ... It also had a piperX filter, front splitter, new starte and battery with over and above FSH and always garaged - mint underneath too !

Oh and also with the dash signed by two Renault icons.

the very first ad for clio V6 on pistonheads.co.uk, there is a very tidy low mileage phase 1 , with P/X in north yorkhire, must be near you, wlii come with service, cam belt change and tax !!!

this use to be my car,I owned it for 4 years and it was well looked after didnt want to sell only sold it as I fancied a change and bought a vx220 turbo

Amy- as yourself I waited for years to afford one, i might be a bit more gun ho than most but when you find the one you love, pay what you feel it's worth, I haven't looked back and every time I get in it I smile from ear to ear. I just got married and it was one of the cars (pictures soon) and it was a highlight. I had 2 mustangs and a Bentley there but the vee stole the show. If im honest a car isn't ever for me ( as I can't resist driving it) an investment but that's just me, you'll soon forget the price when everyone you drive past points and smiles! Just do your research and enjoy owning the best purchase you ever made

Way to go Sam............that is what I like to see/hear, and the Vee deserves it. As such, the sooner it comes off the consumer market and gets into classic car dealers forecourts and auctions the better..........
