1660 was a popular size for the old Mk2 Escort, so I'll go with that for the 1980 car. Maybe even a Harrier?!

Ian,

I’ve been pretty rubbish at this game but will have a stab at:

A) Modified Fiesta or Capri
B) kit car with Ford 1660 crossflow

go on them Kett is joint winner with Markk and no doubt we will meet at some point in the future with a drink on me well done.
The two other classics in my collection are a 1971 green bubble arch mk1 escort mexico replica and a 1980 signal orange wide arch mk1 fiesta which is running the 1660 crossflow and the escort has the 1700 crossflow.Happy new year to you all

Ian,

The Peugeot 205 GTI T16 was a poster on my wall as a kid!, an awesome car. Remember seeing 205’s with dimma kits back in the day & thinking one day I’d get one, roll on the years & voila Renault improved on the styling & chucked an engine in the back.....my dream came true in a roundabout way [emoji16]

Checked out the stiletto’s, nice cars ( but you’re right, slightly before my time ). Curious what’s the difference between an Hillman Imp & Stiletto.

Firstly welcome Ian and secondly, Jima, this is EXACTLY why I bought the Clio. I actually went to a company that built a car for Colin McRae called an R4 with the idea of building a 205 T16 replica. Costs were going to be about £80,000 by the time I had sourced a suitable engine (obviously not original) and an original gearbox from France.
