Didnt they retained the 5 top wish bone, and modded them on the TDC and Cevennes to take coil over,True above .... But the bearings are tiny as are the wishbone bushes, and 3x10mm wheel studs....
Renault solved the problem along with a few others by mounting the Renault 30 wishbones, dampers and hub to create the Renault 5 Turbo, and Mecca parts sell these remade.,
I think the gordini is great but Renault never raced it seriously as with other models, maybe they felt it had reached its potential, don't forget it is a 1960's Renault 4 ...... Underneath.....
Might make a year March!! but this one is definatelty out of the question!!Maybe, I stand corrected.....
We need The Master...... Colinski...........
What ever the solution, it would be great to see a Gordini at Blyton , for the National Day.........
Thanks, the annoying thing with most of these pis the pictures shows vented discs but when you contact them they are solidsRenault 12 Gordini / A310 discs are the same £15 each on ebay. Renault 30 discs are bigger I think 254mm instead of 229mm.
search on Ebay "RENAULT R12 ALPINE (A310) 1972-1977"
Yes you can buy them for the A310 or meca have them for the alpine meca are $300, are they on your car if so what calipers have you used?I have a set of these discs and they are vented.
I have also altered mine to 4 stud, and have opted for 5 gt turbo calipers and grooved dics for now, the car will not be rallied so they will suffice. They are making a good profit then!!
I converted mine to 4stud. I was gonna use some AP radial mount calipers. Not sure what the 5Coupe would of used, i guess maybe 12G or R16 calipers and carries.
