Almost where I want it now.

Wheels will be going yellow and tyres will be Yokohama A052.

Unable to get Cup2 in the reqd sizes although the Yokohamas are supposedly a better tyre.

Well trying to find a place to paint mag alloy wheels isn't as easy as it might sound!

Ended up with a place in Yorkshire who specialises in them, Ian Jemison Engineering. Not a bad price either, strip the wheels, crack test, powder coat all for £60 + VAT a wheel.

Obviously these aren't my wheels but this is the yellow they'll be......and my tyres have arrived :D...should grip well with these on.

Wheels done!

Collect them Thursday and get the tyres fitted.

They'll be fitted along with a few smaller changes over the weekend.

Look forward to seeing the new bits

All the new bits are going to be are Yokohama decals replacing the Michelin ones,Yokohama ones to the tyres. a couple of Yacco decals, a couple of Santiveri ones and a larger Santiveri one on the top of the spoiler.

Car is being raised 3mm which won't be noticeable and brake calipers are going to be graphite grey instead of yellow.

Would have loved to have seen this next to your old GP, Brian.

Very nice.

How's you mate?

I could always give Liam a shout (the guy that bought the GP).

Have to say that although the car isn't in what might be called stealth mode, I much prefer the understated look of the calipers in grey as opposed to the yellow there were done in.

Grey callipers work well. I can’t wait to see this in real-life. I assume it’s coming to Silverstone Classic?

Have managed to get a dash top and a pair of A pillar covers from an esteemed member on here, the idea was to get them flocked.

Then had a bright idea of them being covered in Alcantara, would probably look much better.....then a quote of £1100 landed in my mail inbox!

This brings up the question...anyone had their dash top flocked?...or any other interior parts?...if so how do they look and what's the longevity like?

Chances are I'll end up going the Alcantara route however, thought I'd ask re flocking.

Decided to give getting the dash top done in alcantara a miss, £1100 seems silly money for it to be honest so will go down the flocking route instead.

In the meantime, as has been mentioned elsewhere, I've managed to pick up a full Janspeed exhaust system including branched manifolds.

Looking forward to getting this fitted. Collecting 01/09 on my way down to Scotts for a service so will arrange a fitting date whilst down there.

Crazy money!

There’s a thread somewhere on here about a whole cabin retrim in Ambla for about £1k. I remember that it was the Ph1 painted BG. Danny?

He did all the stripping down himself. I did find out from him the name of the upholsterer...

I plan to remove my flocked dash within the next 12 months (funds permitting). It’s black though and I’m not a huge fan.

Kett Of the black of the flocking in general?

I think I saw that ‘black Ambla interior thread’ and had my head turned.

My Vee already has Black/Silver Ambla Recaro CS seats and black Ambla door cards. I felt the dash & engine covers need to match. Hence the existing flocked dash doesn’t feature in my plans...
