Clio Alien Green 200 gets boost

Thanks guys think il just stick with pms kit then haha! :)

UPDATE ------
Finally after months I can collect my cliors! So this weekend I get to collect what's left of the engine and all parts that's been removed from the Clio and also get to collect the car!!

So the build can begin!, I think one of the first things il be doing is getting the loom out and having the two looms mated and my ecu suited to the build.
Got lots of things arriving but exhausts are on order but will take a while, along with paddle clutch
I've gone with 2.75 decat and link pipe with pms 200 2.5 system (looks the dogs doodlies),
Power flex mounts all round arrived and il pull the old ones off and get them in the mounts, heat wrapping will possibly done this weekend too, RamAir filter arrived, cambelt and aux kit arrived so i can get them on. Possibly going to be painting my engine too just to refreshen it up!
It's all go go go now!!
Expect lots of pics and parts uploading

Went and had another look around my car, the colour just makes me smile! The pearl in the sun , so my link pipe for my exhaust arrived, Pure-Motorsport AC delete bracket, some more Powerflex bushes. Still a 3 week wait for my fancy exhaust and paddle clutch, steering wheel and gear gaiter etc arrived at Royal Steering Wheels today

Next weekend il be doing belts on the r26 engine and fitting relevant parts, hopefully have my wiring and ecu sent out too :)

Small update;

This weekend I cracked on with abit more jobs on the build, started off rummaging through many boxes of Clio parts to find ones I needed, removed aircon rad to find Renault broke plastic clips on the rad itself, full powerflex inserts installed, built up my old Clio engine with the new head etc, cambelt and water pump change on the r26 engine, gave it abit of a scrub, pms AC delete pulley, heat wrapped the downpipe and link pipe, mocked my expansion bottle up in the bay then gave it a huge clean and now looks new (bargain) had a look at both the Clio loom and megane loom. Going to try do wiring as it seems pretty straight forward (he says) then have efi do the ecu's. Removed air con pipes from the Clios bay.

Cambelt on the r26 engine, had a choice of 4 tension pulleys due to the mess ups from the clios engine, so one was used on my 225, on the r26 engine also, same with the crank pulley.

Should have seen the state of this before, but trimmed the bottle down and made a bracket for it to sit

That's about it for this weekend :)

Small update, lots of pics
---------
So I got messed around on eBay having to wait for forge to send to them then to me, so cancelled my order and ordered direct from forge. Finally they arrived and I noticed they hadn't been barely polished unlike my other set I got for my megane 225. Anyway to apologise they sent me a further 2 sets out one shot blasted set, and some polished ones, meanwhile I say at home polishing my unpolished ones. Now I have 3 sets! So big thanks for the great customer service from forge.

i1272.photobucket.com_albums_y400_Danny78VTR_BBC38BAB_758A_4D00_B72E_BE78D4B37EBC_zps6vszs4ui.webp

Since my downpipe gasket was missing I spoke to Dan at jaybee Renault, who managed to track me down one so I got myself a new gasket

i1272.photobucket.com_albums_y400_Danny78VTR_7C78476E_9B95_474E_85FB_CBF624E55E17_zpsot2a9bpg.webp

I started putting my r26 engine together making sure I had everything perfectly, hopefully my clutch will be here next week so the engine can be placed into my engine bay as that's what's stopping me currently, bolted my flywheel on, reading through the manual I read the Clios bolts stretch so again contacted Dan at jaybee to order up some new ones.
Meanwhile I got talking to BeanieaSport who I used to use with my saxos, he gave me some tips when building these cars, he built Stuart's ( martini Clio turbo ) also picked up some clutch cover bolts as Renault seem to have misplaced allot of my bits.

i1272.photobucket.com_albums_y400_Danny78VTR_8C2A1663_2AB1_4C3C_8B51_94A7F1E44222_zpshgxqdp8h.webp

On the way out I managed to bump into the man himself, so interrupted his photoshoot and got talking about the cars.
Took a sneaky photo

This also made me remember I had my steering wheel and couple bits done at Royal Steering Wheels so had that installed! Looks the dogs dangleys :D

i1272.photobucket.com_albums_y400_Danny78VTR_E712EFAF_396E_4070_90E3_52C10E2D91F0_zpsxyvvn6uf.webp

Then the time came where I removed my ecu and my engine harness from the Clio to have a crack at rewiring it all myself!

i1272.photobucket.com_albums_y400_Danny78VTR_2DF4685D_B266_4464_B4D4_C0F3B8FC8F2E_zpsvcu1l4s6.webp

Again thanks to beaniesport for guiding me what to look for etc.
I used an online wiring diagram, however there was a few miss labeled parts so I drew my own diagram and what I wanted to do with the looms, quite a few of the wires and plugs I kept on the Clio loom which was mated to the meganes loom. I have finished soldering all the wires now, fairly confident it's all okay. On that note I won't be posting diagrams etc until I know what I did works,
So this was just after I'd done my last bit of soldering, I staggered these cuts on purpose because of where the loom flexes I didn't want strain on it.
i1272.photobucket.com_albums_y400_Danny78VTR_F2402F3C_7821_4C89_8C3A_901F18D87A45_zps3r3qlbrp.webp

I purchased some of Renaults cloth wiring loom tape also so I am going to wrap my loom in this to make the build look more factory, again never thought of this, beaniesport advised me.

Will be another update once my clutch is here and mated to my Meg engine

Thanks for reading

Very neat. Good idea on the stagger, i'm not sure if my common sense would have prevailed on that in the future, so duly noted :)

Another update;
---------

So this weekend I fitted my flywheel and paddle clutch and mounted the gearbox to the engine, gave the engine some new oil and filters, put heat reflective tape on my firewall to protect it from the extra turbo temps, dropped my hub/wishbone/suspension assembly as one both sides to remove my driveshafts, put some new brake lines on, test fitted the engine and gave the engine a look over so I knew where to route the wires and pipes. Custom fabricated some parts to make it work and re routed my original Clio vacuum pipes to suit the engine. Now the car had its engine and wiring all together and routed pipes, poweflexed all my mounts, installed my exhaust link pipe, waiting on a reducer now so link my Meg exhaust to the clios.

First thing on my list was fixing my gear gaiter as it was the wrong way for the stitching, much better

i1272.photobucket.com_albums_y400_Danny78VTR_0AF820F3_8F55_4247_90CB_AFF7EC4C3170_zpslaetp5qa.webp

Mated my gearbox to the Meg engine, then this engine had a service, moved it out the way and got my car in.

i1272.photobucket.com_albums_y400_Danny78VTR_61A6B4F5_B2AC_4023_A6D5_A92D0DA02987_zpscwfhoe51.webp

Got the car into the garage and removing my exhaust and driveshafts, this way for me was just easier for access all round.

Test fitting the engine to see what pipes need trimming and routing, also locked the wiring up to make sure it was all okay. Then I removed the engine and chopped accordingly (my turbo intake pipe, bulk head rad hoses, expansion tank)

i1272.photobucket.com_albums_y400_Danny78VTR_8044FC05_0995_4FC8_BBF2_DA369F00D965_zpsyhk34hhl.webp

Standard in the engine bay pic is needed haha

I couldn't source a T piece for my turbo coolant pump, so I made one! Does the job

i1272.photobucket.com_albums_y400_Danny78VTR_49412CE2_0072_4B74_B00A_A8B1675FE38E_zpspctknxmi.webp

I then refitted my engine and clipped all my clutch and coolant hoses together, re routed my wiring, installed my filter and expansion tank and more hoses for the rad, all mounts were torqued up and the engine sat with no engine crane!

i1272.photobucket.com_albums_y400_Danny78VTR_98B2F565_946E_4DC1_9B1F_FA4929D36425_zps1mtdy7cu.webp

Next up was fitting the link pipe

i1272.photobucket.com_albums_y400_Danny78VTR_96AD39AE_2B6F_4CC1_B63D_7245EA785EA0_zpsmumofjbo.webp

Removed my "cat" section of the exhaust so the link pipe would fit down

So everything's ready for driveshafts and suspension to be installed next weekend and also should have my ecu back this week so hopefully be able to start it up! Make sure everything runs before installed the rad and intercooler.

Thanks for reading :)

If you want to offload a set of those clamps, let me know please (y) I keep meaning to knock up a set for my Meg', but spare time is few & far between at the mo.

Hi Danny,
Once you've finished your clio, I would be interested in seeing the wiring loom diagram. I had mine done as I'm not good with electrics. I bet @-Jo- , would be interested to.

Good luck with the build, an really awesome color!!!
