Alarm problem

I've had this issue since purchasing the v6, however over the last week its got increasingly worse.

My alarm is unbelievably sensitive. It's started going off in the night, at work during the day, generally just everywhere! Also, to make matters worse, it will only turn itself off, there's nothing I can do. The usual method will not turn it off. Furthermore, it'll be making the standard alarm noise, then it changes pitch and speeds up, then it'll slow down as if the batteries dying then resume to the usual sound. Something is definitely not right with it.

Before I have a professional look into the issue, has anyone on here encountered the same problem?? My patience is wearing very thin with this thing!!

Not sure on the weird speed, frequency thing but the motion sensors are VERY sensitive in these and constantly trip it. You can turn them off by turning the engine off, remove the key and then put it back in. Click round to pre ignition and back 4 times i.e. up to the last 'click' before turning the engine over and then back to off, 4 times. Once this is completed you have about 30 secs to lock the car. You will know if it's worked as you'll get two loud beeps (not horn beeps) and the alarm shouldn't go off anymore. This only deactivates the motion sensors; opening a door will still trigger it.

Search on 'alarm problems' and 'bloody alarm' and a few things come up by the way.
